Starting January 1, 2024, it’s crucial for entities to communicate their adherence to Section 11 of Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act to the Minister of Public Safety. This legislation requires businesses to release yearly reports detailing their actions in addressing forced labor and child labor within their supply networks. By doing so, this provision endeavors to bolster corporate responsibility and advocate for ethical procurement methods, thereby supporting the international campaign against labor exploitation.
